What do the announcements mean for our region?

Miyuki Suzuki

President, Asia Pacific, Japan and China

Miyuki Suzuki is President for Cisco Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC). This group comprises of six organisations operating across a diverse set of markets and countries: Australia and New Zealand, India and SAARC, Japan, ASEAN, Korea, and Greater China. In this role, she is responsible for developing Cisco’s strategy, accelerating business growth, and ensuring Cisco APJC is the most trusted and relevant IT solutions partner and provider in the industry.

Suzuki joined Cisco in 2015, as President and General Manager for Cisco Japan, and managed all operations for the Japanese market. During her tenure, she successfully accelerated the business to sustained growth, demonstrating her proven record for driving high-performing teams that achieve results. She has a passion for talent development, and driving diversity in both teams and thought. She is an innovative, entrepreneurially minded leader, who leads with a long-term view on vision and strategy.

Chuck Robbins

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Cisco

Chuck Robbins is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cisco. He assumed the role of CEO on July 26, 
2015 and was elected Chairman of the Board on December 11, 2017. As Chairman and CEO, Chuck is focused on helping companies, cities and countries around the world as they look to Cisco to connect everything and everyone by building the highly secure, intelligent platform for digital business.

Over his 20 years at Cisco, he has served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations, where he led the Worldwide Sales and Partner Organizations, and helped drive and execute many of the company's investment areas and strategy shifts; Senior Vice President of The Americas, Cisco's largest geographic region; Senior Vice President of U.S. Enterprise, Commercial and Canada; Senior Vice President of U.S. Commercial Sales; and Segment Vice President, U.S. and Canada channel organization, where he was instrumental in helping build the industry's most powerful partner program.

Prior to joining Cisco, Chuck held management positions at Bay Networks and Ascend Communications.

Chuck is on the Board of Directors for BlackRock; Chairman of the US-Japan Business Council; a Member of the International Business Council for the World Economic Forum; on the Board of Directors for the Business Roundtable where he serves as Chairman of the Immigration Committee; a Board of Trustees member for the Ford Foundation; and a member of the International Council for the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.

Chuck holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a computer science concentration from the University of North Carolina.

David Goeckeler

EVP and General Manager Networking and Security Business, Cisco

David Goeckeler is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's Networking and Security Business with responsibility for more than $32 billion of the company's global technology franchise. He leads a global team of more than 20,000 engineers and oversees Cisco's networking and security strategy and market acceleration, including development operations for the company's expansive technology portfolio and strategic acquisitions.

An 18-year Cisco veteran, Goeckeler is known as a transformational leader with proven business expertise and deep technical knowledge. He is responsible for defining and building technologies to deliver Cisco's vision 

-- an intent-based platform that redefines networking from the ground up enabling customers to automate their infrastructure and secure their digital business.

Prior to his current role, Goeckeler was the leader of Cisco's Security Business. He was instrumental in defining Cisco's threat-centric security strategy and transitioning the business to a software and recurring revenue based model, and returning the business to share-gaining growth. Under his lea dership, the Security Group also acquired and successfully integrated multiple companies, solidifying Cisco's place as the largest Security vendor in the industry.

Goeckeler has held engineering leadership roles across both the Enterprise and Service Provider markets in his career with Cisco, including Voice over IP, SP Mobility, Video Infrastructure, Networking, and his most recent work in the Security Business. He has both driven organic innovation across these businesses as well as led and integrated large and small acquisitions. Prior to Cisco, he held engineering and senior management positions at Bell Laboratories and BellSouth Telecommunications. He has also been active in several entrepreneurial ventures.

Goeckeler holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and mathematics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, a master's degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a master's degree in business administration from both Columbia University and the University of California at Berkeley.

Goeckeler is widely recognized for his leadership and operational excellence. In 2012, he received Frost and Sullivan's Excellence Award in Engineering Operations.

Amy Chang

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Collaboration Technology Group, Cisco

Amy serves on the board of directors for Procter & Gamble, and has previously served on the boards of Cisco, Splunk and Informatica.  Post-acquisition of her startup, Accompany, by Cisco, she is now leading Cisco's Collaboration business, which includes the WebEx suite of products, telepresence hardware and software, and unified communications. Accompany was a relationship intelligence platform for professionals which served Fortune 500 financial and professional services clients on their people and company data needs.

Prior to Accompany, Amy was at Google, where she led the teams for Google Analytics, Website Optimizer, Trends, and multichannel attribution for over 7 years, growing Google Analytics to serve over 80% of the entire web. She previously led product for the paid search and affiliates channels at eBay, as well as worked in the semiconductor and software industries at McKinsey. She started her career in hardware with Intel, AMD and Motorola.

She serves as an advisor to Hubspot, Optimizely, BloomReach, Origami Logic and Datorama. 
She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with a hardware subspecialty and an MS in Electrical Engineering with a network systems subspecialty, both from Stanford University.
